Eugene L. Jackson, Assoc. Pastor of Praise

A native of Detroit, MI, Eugene attended
Detroit public schools, graduating from Cass Technical High School. He studied piano starting at the age of 5.
As a Music Education major at Wayne State University, Eugene majored in percussion and voice, performing with the Men’s
Glee Club, percussion ensemble, band, and orchestra. He sang first tenor with the Ted Thomas Ensemble, a contemporary
Gospel Quartet, which was formed during his days with the Men’s Glee Club, touring Europe with them in the summer of
1971.
In addition to the Ted Thomas Ensemble, over the years
Eugene has performed locally with small and large musical groups, including, the Michigan Concert Choir, a number of church
choirs, Voice For Christ with whom he recorded a musical project in the 1990s, and Sound Virtue.
Prior to his current position, Eugene has directed
several church choirs, and served as minister of music for the Greater Macedonia Baptist Church of Detroit, MI., First Open
Bible of Pontiac, MI., and Christian Fellowship Church of Holly, MI.
As a songwriter, arranger and producer, Eugene lives
in Waterford, MI. with his wife Yvonne of 40 years, having raised four children together. Being also a minister
of the Gospel, Eugene knows he has a call on his life to share the Gospel in both word and song.
